REVERSE MORTGAGES

CANADA PENSION PLAN( CPP)
The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) retirement pension is a monthly, taxable benefit that replaces part of your income when you retire. If you qualify, you’ll receive the CPP retirement pension for the rest of your life.

GUARANTEED INCOME SUPPLIMENT (GIS)
The Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) is a monthly payment you can get if: you are 65 or older you live in Canada you get the Old Age Security (OAS) pension your income is below the maximum annual income threshold for the GIS based on your marital status.
CANADIAN SURVIVOR PENSION
The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) survivor's pension is a monthly payment paid to the legal spouse or common-law partner of the deceased contributor.

GUIDE TO SENIOR BENEFITS
After retirement, older adults may need additional financial support to support their lifestyles. The good news is that the government of Ontario acknowledges this and has created several benefit plans to ease the financial pressure on older adults. .
ONTARIO SENIORS PUBLIC TRANSIT TAX CREDIT
The Ontario Seniors' Public Transit Tax Credit is a refundable tax credit to help seniors with public transit costs.
LOCAL ASSISTED RIDE SERVICES
YORK TRANSIT 65+ RIDE SERVICE
YRT's On-Request 65+ service allows you to request transit when and where you need it.
YRT is offering an on-request transit service for seniors 65 years and older. The service is offered throughout York Region for seniors who want to try taking public transit using a smaller vehicle that picks you up at your home. On-Request 65+ uses smaller vehicles like sedans, minivans and small buses to transport customers, and vehicles are thoroughly cleaned.
If you are a senior travelling within York Region, simply call us during the hours listed below and On-Request 65+ will pick you up and take you to your desired location within 5 km of your home. This can be a grocery store, doctor’s office, pharmacy or any other address.

CHATS also offers Home At Last, which helps older adults safely get home from the hospital

ADAPT
We have been appointed as a supplier of Transportation for Veterans who quality by Veterans Affairs Canada. We are also a supplier of Transportation with the Province of Ontario.
We transport their clients, residents and/or students to and from Medical, dental and social appointments as well as work assignments, in most cases we invoice the agencies directly each month.
