ABOUT GEORGINA
Georgina is a town in south-central Ontario, and the northernmost municipality in the Regional Municipality of York. The town is bounded to the north by Lake Simcoe. Although incorporated as a town, it operates as a township in which dispersed communities share a common administrative council. Georgina, because it skirts the Eastern shores of Lake Simcoe is an original Cottage destination before modern transportation let us travel further out of the city. There are many older properties that were once cottages that are in close proximity to the lake. Often these properties do not have baseents due to the water table. In more recent years Georgina has been home to a building boom, providing new modern homes at an affordable level.

This Nature-Reserve-Class Park at the southeast shore of Lake Simcoe, inside a flat 220 meter closed contour, is home to rare plants and a variety of birds. There is an extensive offshore sandbar.
A non-operating park with no visitors facilities/activities, camping is not permitted.
There is no high ground to speak-of, a small road leaves the south side Hwy#48, and heads northbound to the lake, going- over/claiming the High Point en-route.

Willow Beach Conservation Area is a small area on the shores of Lake Simcoe in Georgina. A great place to take the family for the day, Willow Beach has picnic tables, flush toilets and privies, a playground and of course a sandy beach perfect for fun in the sun. In the winter, anglers use the area to access the lake for ice-fishing in Canada’s Ice-Fishing Capital – Georgina. Town of Georgina residents park for free with their resident parking pass (available from the Town of Georgina). There is paid parking available for non-residents. Website
